Brendan Quill grew up around dentistry. His father was the local dentist in Canowindra, in the New South Wales Central West, for more than 50 years — a fixture of the town who cared for the same families across generations. Watching that quiet, lifelong commitment to a community shaped the way Brendan practises to this day.
He went on to complete his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Sydney. After graduating, he spent the early part of his career working as a dentist in Orange, close to where he grew up, before making the move to Sydney.
In 1990, Brendan opened his own practice, Darlo Dental, in the heart of Oxford Street, Darlinghurst. It was during these years that he worked under Dr Derek Mahony — a specialist orthodontist and internationally recognised expert in dentofacial orthopaedics. That mentorship sparked a lifelong interest in orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry that continues to shape his work today.
For many years he also worked one day a fortnight at a dental practice in Queanbeyan, near Canberra, completing more than 2,000 clear aligner and braces cases over that time — the kind of deep, hands-on orthodontic experience that few general dentists can offer.
Brendan has practised in the heart of Bondi Junction since 1992, where he leads Dentist In The Park. In the years since, he has earned the trust of generations of Eastern Suburbs families through his clinical expertise and a genuinely high standard of patient care.
It is the same prevention-first, relationship-led approach he first saw in his father's chair in Canowindra — treating people well, explaining things clearly, and caring for families for the long term.
Giving back has always mattered to Brendan too. For more than twenty years he has donated his dental services to Youth Off The Streets, providing care to disadvantaged young people across Sydney.
Marinella Harrison brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for dental hygiene to every patient she sees.
Her career began at just 16, working as a dental nurse and practice manager. That early love of patient care inspired her to further her education, and she went on to qualify as a Dental Hygienist, graduating from the University of Newcastle in 2015. Marinella later founded her own business as a mobile dental hygienist, providing gentle, professional care to elderly patients in aged-care facilities and through home visits.
A firm believer that prevention is better than cure, Marinella takes the time to tailor an individualised home-care regime for every patient — and she loves sharing practical tips to help you get the most out of your brushing and flossing.
Outside the practice, Marinella leads a full life: she flies single-engine aeroplanes, competes in tournament tennis, enjoys cooking, and treasures quality time with her family and pets.
